LLC Retreat Winter Warm Wishes Marci

Day 2, LLC Retreat Project #12
You can always recognize a project designed by Irina, it is always way over the top and there is plenty of thought in the planning of the project..........no disappointment here.  Check out this mug of all mugs...............there are a lot of cocoa holders out there but this one is the most enjoyable to see as well as to make.  Papers selected are perfect for this project. Project size is 6" x 6".  Stamp used is Winter Wishes Marci found here and dies used are Rolled Roses, Open Leaf Flourish, Stitched Elements (the Oval), and Stitched Circles.  All the dies can be found here.  The scallop part of the oval is pierced for some additional interest, then it is popped with foam squares layered on top of the assembled mug.
Pop Winter Wishes Marci with foam squares after coloring with Copic Pens (we thankfully received color information at the LLC Retreat.)
Rolled Roses as well as paper roses are positioned on each side of Marci.  Note the paper roses have curled wires made from wrapping around a brush.  The Open Leaf Flourish die are the leaves which are placed underneath those Rolled Roses. Final embellishment is two pearl tip hat pins one each side of the Rolled and Paper roses.
Pull out the cocoa:
The cocoa holder: a 1" x 3-1/2" decorative strip wrapped across the top of a cocoa is embellished with a metal spoon.  The khaki and white twine adds a rustic feel to this project.
Don't forget the back of the mug: of course it is embellished, a Irina signature!  Love the Stitched Circle die used along with the Open Leaf Flourish.

A closer look at the embellishment: Stitched circle, Circle mat, scallop circle mat, and Open Leaf Flourish:
Here is a side view of the card: many layers popped up with foam squares.
Thank you for stopping by today to visit........stay tuned for more projects fromt he LLC Retreat.
